Sobar by Night
A hidden upstairs bar in Kepong with no website at all. The site had to do the job the room does: make a stranger want to climb the stairs.
Sobar had no website. For a bar that is genuinely hard to find, up a staircase and off the main floor, that is a real cost: people who would have come could not confirm it was worth the trip.
The site is one page and it sells the room rather than a drinks list. The photography is the room's own, and the copy stays in the register the bar actually has, which is closer to being let in on a good spot than to nightlife advertising.
The practical half matters as much. Where it is, when it opens and how to get upstairs are reachable immediately, because that is what someone deciding at 9pm on a phone is looking for.
