This Privacy Policy explains how Aliq Group Sdn Bhd (SSM registration no. 20260107472 (1679569-T)), trading as Aliq Studio ("Aliq Studio", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal data when you visit studio.aliqgroup.com (the "Site") or otherwise engage with us. We act as the data controller responsible for your personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia (the "PDPA").
By using the Site, submitting an enquiry, or communicating with us (including via WhatsApp), you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data as described here.
This Policy is provided in English. Where a translated version is made available, the English version prevails in the event of any inconsistency.
01Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Information you provide to us: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, business or industry, the services you are interested in, your preferred language, and any other details you choose to share through our enquiry form, WhatsApp, email, calls or messages.
- Information collected automatically: your device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, the pages you view, the links you click, the website or advertisement that referred you, and similar usage data, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
You may choose not to provide certain information, but this may limit our ability to respond to your enquiry or provide our services to you.
03Our internal applications and Google API Services
We operate internal software applications that connect to platforms we use to run our business, including Google services such as the Google Ads API. These applications are used only by our team to manage, report on and optimise advertising campaigns for our own accounts and for clients who have authorised us to manage their advertising. They are not offered to the public.
Through these applications we access advertising account data such as campaign settings, budgets and performance metrics. We use this data solely to provide our advertising and marketing services, and we do not sell it or use it for any purpose unrelated to those services.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
04How we use your personal data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the products and services you request;
- To contact you and follow up with you, including by WhatsApp, call, SMS or email, about your enquiry, our services, and related offers, promotions and updates;
- To operate, maintain, personalise and improve the Site and our services;
- To measure, target and optimise our advertising and marketing, including retargeting and audience building on Meta and other platforms;
- To keep business records, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
05Consent and marketing communications
By submitting your details to us, messaging us, or otherwise engaging with us, you consent to us contacting you by WhatsApp, telephone, SMS, email or other electronic means for the purposes set out in this Policy, including sending you marketing and promotional communications about our services.
You may withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time by telling us, for example by replying to any message or by contacting us using the details below. We will act on your request within a reasonable period. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide certain services or updates to you.
06Disclosure of your personal data
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose your personal data to the following classes of parties, only to the extent necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Service providers and business partners who help us operate our business and the Site, such as hosting, cloud, customer relationship management, communication, analytics and advertising providers (including Google and Meta);
- Our professional advisers, such as accountants, auditors and lawyers;
- Regulators, government authorities, law enforcement, or other parties where required or permitted by law, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of others;
- A successor entity in connection with any merger, acquisition, financing or reorganisation of our business.
We require parties who process personal data on our behalf to protect it and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
07Cross-border transfer of data
Some of our service providers, including Google, Meta and cloud or customer relationship management providers, store or process personal data on servers located outside Malaysia. By using the Site and providing your personal data to us, you consent to the transfer of your personal data to, and its storage and processing in, locations outside Malaysia. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy.
08Retention of data
We retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain our business relationship with you, and to comply with our legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations. When personal data is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or to anonymise it. We may retain anonymised or aggregated data, which no longer identifies you, for an indefinite period.
09Security
We take reasonable and practicable steps to protect your personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You provide information to us at your own risk.

Subject to the PDPA and any applicable exceptions, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction of personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or out of date;
- Withdraw your consent to, or limit, our processing of your personal data, including for direct marketing purposes.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, and we may charge a prescribed fee where permitted by law. We will respond within a reasonable period. Please note that withdrawing consent or limiting processing may affect our ability to provide our services to you.
11Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, platforms and social media profiles that we do not operate or control, such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you use.
12Children's privacy
The Site and our services are intended for business owners and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
13Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. The latest version will always be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site or our services after any change takes effect indicates your acceptance of the updated Policy.
14Governing law
This Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
