AI Search Visibility / GEO
You rank on Google. But when someone asks AI, they hear a competitor's name.
Your first AI visibility measurement is free.We show you who AI names instead of you. No obligation.
The short answer
ALIQ Studio is a GEO agency in Kuala Lumpur. We measure whether AI assistants name your business and cite your website, and then do the work that changes it. Every month we put a fixed panel of your buyers' real questions to ChatGPT, to Google's Gemini and to Google's AI answers, record who gets recommended, and show you the firms being named in your place. The work happens on the website you already have - this is not a rebuild. Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, from RM1,999 a month, and the first measurement is free.

What GEO actually means
GEO - generative engine optimisation, sometimes called AEO or answer engine optimisation - is the work of being found and cited when someone asks an AI assistant instead of typing into a search box. It is not the same job as SEO. A search engine returns ten links and lets the person choose; an AI assistant reads the web and returns one answer naming a handful of businesses. If you are not in that answer, there is no second page to be on. The mechanics differ too: AI retrieval systems largely do not run JavaScript, so content that only appears after a page loads can be invisible to them. They lean on clearly structured facts, consistent information about your business across the web, and pages that answer a question directly rather than circling it.
SEO or GEO?
| SEO | GEO | |
|---|---|---|
| What wins | A ranking position | Being named in the answer |
| The result page | Ten links, the person chooses | One answer, a few businesses named |
| If you are not there | Page two | Nowhere |
| Reads JavaScript | Google does | AI retrieval largely does not |
| Measured by | Rankings and clicks | Mentions, citations, recommendations |
| How it moves | Slowly, fairly steadily | Run to run, which is why it needs monitoring |
What the monthly retainer includes
- Your question panel - a fixed set of the questions your buyers actually ask, in the languages they ask them. It stays fixed, because a moving question set cannot show a trend.
- Monthly measurement across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI answers, recording separately whether you are named, whether your site is cited, and whether you are recommended. Those are three different things and most reporting blurs them.
- The substitution list - which firms get named in your place, question by question.
- Technical work on your existing site: server-rendered content, structured data, consistent business facts, and verified AI-crawler access at your CDN as well as in robots.txt.
- Answer-shaped content for the questions you currently lose.
- Off-site consistency, so the profiles and listings AI systems read about you agree with each other.
- A monthly report showing the series, not a single reading.
Ask AI which F&B agency to use in Malaysia. We have come up every single time.
Since July 2026 we have put the same fixed panel of buyer questions to Google's Gemini and to ChatGPT every month, and logged which agencies get named and whose website gets cited as the source. Across five runs, four core F&B and restaurant questions have returned ALIQ Studio named and our site cited - every run, without exception: who the best F&B marketing agencies in Malaysia are, the best creative agency for restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, which agency can help a Malaysian restaurant with social media, and a branding agency recommendation for F&B businesses. We can tell you this because we measure it; most agencies selling AI visibility have never run the test on themselves. Measured monthly against a fixed question set using Gemini with Search grounding and OpenAI's web-search API from a Kuala Lumpur location, with answers and sources logged and retained. Results are time-specific and vary by platform, prompt, user and location. Last run 18 September 2026.

How a month works
- 01
Measure
Your panel runs across each AI surface. Every answer and every source is logged.
- 02
Report
What moved, what did not, and who gained ground on you.
- 03
Act
That month's work - the fixes and the content the measurement pointed at.
- 04
Re-measure
Next cycle. The series is the deliverable, not any single number. We work this way on our own site, monthly, since July.
Questions we get asked
- Our brand ranks well on Google but doesn't appear in AI answers. Can that be fixed?
- Usually, yes - and it is the most common version of this problem. Ranking well means Google can find and trust your pages. Being named in an AI answer additionally depends on whether your content can be read without JavaScript, whether your business facts are consistent and structured, and whether anything on the wider web corroborates them. Those are fixable, and they are the bulk of what the retainer does.
- Can you improve our AI citations without rebuilding our website?
- Yes - that is the normal case, and it is how this service is designed. We work on the site you have. If we ever believed a rebuild was genuinely necessary we would tell you and you could decide, but it is not the starting assumption and it is not included here.
- How long before we see a change?
- We would be guessing if we gave you a number, so we will not. What we can tell you is that our own measurements move between monthly runs, so a single early reading will not tell you much either way. Expect a few cycles before a trend is readable. Your report shows the series so you can see it for yourself rather than take our word for it.
- What will you not promise us?
- We cannot guarantee citations, recommendations, rankings or leads - nobody controls what an AI assistant says, and any agency promising you a guaranteed citation is describing something they do not control. Results move between runs; ours do, and across five months our own score has read 4, 5, 7, 7 and 5 out of 10. That is exactly why we sell monthly measurement rather than a one-off certificate. AI systems also change without notice, so what works this quarter may need revising next. And we measure named surfaces, not 'all AI' - the specific assistants and configurations listed on your report.
- Is GEO worth it for a Malaysian SME?
- Only if your buyers are actually asking AI assistants about what you sell. The free first measurement is how you find out before spending anything. If your questions come back showing little AI activity in your category, we will say so - and that answer is worth having too.
- Do we need this as well as SEO, or instead of it?
- Nearly always as well. They share some groundwork and then diverge. If you have no search visibility at all, SEO comes first, and we will tell you that rather than sell you this.
- What should we ask before hiring anyone for AI SEO or answer engine optimisation?
- Four questions. Ask them to show their own measurements rather than a case study - if they sell AI visibility and have never measured their own, that tells you something. Ask what exactly they count: being mentioned, being cited, or being recommended, because those are different. Ask what they will not guarantee. And ask how often they re-measure, because a single reading is not evidence of anything.
- What does it cost?
- From RM1,999 a month. Additional services are quoted separately according to scope, and you receive a written scope before any work begins. The first measurement is free and carries no obligation.
